Do you like Wrestling Simulators? good! With the new Extreme warfare Deleuxe coming to us for downlaod sometime Febuary, I'm trying to get a preview of the game, hopefully!
EXD? is it going to be good? is it going to match the other Top freebie Wrestling Sims? it's got a bit of competion! with the original being a ace game, it's going to be differcult to beat! and what about Promotion Wars?

Extreme Warfare:
This is a great game, first you hire the wrestlers that you want, watching all their wage demands, making sure the wage Bill is not to high, then pick a venue, then pick the matchup and watch the results come in after you have sorted out the Raw is War that you want! Storylines in it are great! And you can always update the game, renaming Finishers, groups (stables) that people are in, or create yourself and your friends and watch them go for the WWF title! Promotion Wars:
This game is also an excellent game, even though the graphics are better, it's not as good or interesting gameplay! I'm not saying that its a crap game, it's ace! but the storylines are not as good, but it's basicly the same, same may say that this is better, but I would choose Extreme Warfare till the new EWD comes out! Extreme Warfare Deleuxe
The data structures are finished, the opening screens and the complete file editing suite to the game already, which is now far ahead of schedule. EWD has a very similar look to the previous EW's, and once again uses mouse control. Everything except the actual booking and matches should be completed by February. The current features of the game include : 300 wrestlers, 50 locations, 50 staff (announcers,interviewers,road agents, etc), 30 sponsors and 3 companies (WWF,WCW and ECW). Wrestlers can move between promotions, and each wrestler is more detailed than ever before. This EW differs in that there are essentially two rosters per promotion - 'active' and 'inactive'. The 'active' list is the wrestlers who are available to wrestle (max of 50) while the inactive are the people you still employ, but are not currently using. They can be called up at any moment though. Of course, they will lose morale if they are stuck in 'inactive' for too long. There are now 5 singles belts per promotion (you can use fewer than that if you wish though), and 3 TV shows (you can pick the announcing team for each). The next update will be when the 'internal issues' and 'external issues'are finished - these include scouting for wrestlers, finance and roster. A problem is that it takes up a lot of space and the designer is working on a small version, for all you people with oldish computers, stuff like the rosters will be cut down. The full version should be finished and ready for download in about April! |
